Wollemi Pine
This new Pine Tree is one of the worlds oldest
and rarest Plants. From the Dinosaur period, less than
100 Adult Trees exist in the World. This pine is now
available to anyone wishing to take part in a Global
Conservation Effort.
The tree was discovered by David Noble an
Australian Parks & Wildlife Officer in 1994 in the
Wollemi National Park which is part of the Greater Blue
Mountain World Heritage National Park West of Sydney. The
new pine is evergreen with dark green foliage, can be cut
hard to make the tree branch out. It is very hardy, easy
to grow, low maintenance. The pine can also be grown
indoors or in a conservatory, in a well lit position.
The Wollemi Pine is a very versatile plant and will
be available after its launch at Chelsea Flower Show. The
Wollemi Pine would make an unusual gift for a special
event; it is unique, new and rare. |
